Navigating access and privacy with Microsoft 365 and Purview

Navigating access and privacy with Microsoft 365 and Purview

When it comes to access of information, organizations have competing needs. They have both a responsibility to protect confidential information and a duty to remain transparent — either externally for public access, or internally to support collaboration. When and how should content be “open by design”?

In this session, we explore how organizations with this dual responsibility can strike the right balance with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Purview.

We discuss the biggest information access hurdles, recommended practices to adopt across the organization, and how Microsoft 365 solutions support both privacy and open access principles.

Key takeaways:

  • Recommendations for implementing an open by design SharePoint environment

  • Recommended practices for supporting Freedom of Information Requests through eDiscovery tools

  • How to identify and protect confidential information with the use of sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, and permissions
